Mark Barker has been vicar of St Stephen's since 2004. He worked for Barclays Bank in the West End and the City for 12 years before attending St John's theological college in Nottingham. He was ordained in 1995. Mark's first curacy was at St Margaret's, Barking. He then moved to St Luke's, Cranham, in Essex. Mark is married to Miriam and they have two teenage children, Hannah and Tom.

Sheila Perkins is our associate vicar and lives in Speldhurst with her husband, John, who is also a member of the clergy. Sheila was ordained in 2007 and her priesting took place in June 2008. She's committed to reaching the community through acts of service.

John Perkins is a newcomer to the clergy team at St Stephens. After a career in HR with an international telecoms company John attended bible college in Bristol and was ordained in 2006. His particular ministry involves working with home groups and other small "missional" groups. He has a watching brief over STEPS, our pre-school & after school club, and is increasingly involved in men's ministry. He is married to Sheila and they have 3 adult sons.

Matt Rodgers is the youth and children's pastor here and oversees all the children's and youth work at St. Stephens. He's Tonbridge born and bred and has been involved with youth and children's work around Tonbridge for around 7 years. His imagination is vivid and has some wacky ideas - so we'll see what happens!

David Wake has been Director of Operations since May 2008. His role is to make sure that everything (literally!) runs smoothly in the administration of our parish. David and his wife, Carol, moved to Tonbridge in 2005 after his previous job as a senior executive in the defence industry.
